BRAND BUILDING THROUGH CONTENT MARKETING

Before you present your brand to your audience, be sure you have a clear idea about how you are going to position yourself. Identify what makes your brand better than the rest and ensure that aspect comes across to your audience. Your brand makes the biggest impact with what you say about it. So choose your words wisely, find the right platforms and get your audience hooked.

1. MAKE THE HUMAN CONNECT
No matter what your product or service is, your audience comprises of people. Talk to them in a language that is fun, friendly and empathetic. Don't make assumptions about your audience. Do not expect them to have all the background information on your brand. At the same time do not underestimate their ability to see through false marketing. Use words and metaphors that are easy to understand and commonly used. You risk alienating your audience when you get too technical. Save the tech specs for the sales meeting.

2. LISTEN IN ON YOUR AUDIENCE
Staying in touch with your audience and understanding their wants is absolutely essential. You have to keep up with the trends and may even have to rethink your brand image if it seems a tad outdated. Follow your followers on social media. See what they are talking about. Use data analytics to the fullest to understand what your audience feels about your brand. Keep what's relevant, revamp what's obsolete. Stay in vogue.

3. KEEP IN TOUCH
Interacting with your audience adds that personal touch that makes them warm up to you more. Ask for feedback. Respond to the positive and the negative remarks. A customer who feels like he is being heard and that his opinion matters, tends to be loyal. Quick contests, quizzes and LIVE interactions on social media increase traffic and followers, thereby increasing the number of potential sales. Make personalized newsletters: pick content depending on the person you are mailing. It makes the receiver feel special and your newsletter won't hit the trash.

4. TAP INTO THE POTENTIAL OF MICRO-INFLUENCERS
Social Media is all about 'LIKING, SHARING & FOLLOWING'. Use that to your benefit. Get people to talk about your brand. These people do not necessarily have to be celebrities. For a more real connect, your audience looks for more relatable content. People trust people they know, people they can relate with. Real customer testimonials and simple blogs, are sure to do the trick.

5. IMPROVE CREDIBILITY
The world wide web is a huge canvas. There's room for everyone who decides to jump on. This results in a cluttered environment. For your brand to rise above the noise and get heard, you must use the web sphere the right way. Find websites or online news portals that have a good following and get published in them. It's not enough for your own website and blogs to talk about you. Post informative features on other websites of repute and reasonably good following. When a reputed online news website carries a feature on your brand, you will reach more people and also boost the credibility of your brand.
